Real-time concrete strength information regardless of concrete mix and conditions

Concrete is the most used construction material in the world. But the placement of concrete is a complex problem involving many technical and process issues. In particular, the capacity to sequence concrete placement and assure performance requirements is both costly and full of uncertainty.

The Trivest team has a longstanding interest in new developments in the concrete industry and including the chemistry of materials to significantly improve placement and curing and other concrete-related innovations. Members of our team are experienced in developing business strategies and commercialization activity in the concrete arena.

In the concrete sector, Trivest offers a new concrete sensor allowing real-time hydration and strength information without the need for maturity sensors or cylinder breakage. This greatly decreases the uncertainty associated with concrete performance, construction scheduling while leading to significant reduction in risks. At the same time, the use of this sensor can also reduce the expenditures associated with required testing.

The underlying technology was developed by Purdue University and has been of great interest for adaptation by US Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The sensors also acquired full American Association of Highway & Transportation Officials’ standard approval, ASSHTO T412-24. Trivest offers this new sensor technology in India, the Middle East, and selected areas in the United States.

Concrete Strength Sensor

  • Sensors provides real-time, high-accuracy compressive strength measurements
  • Eliminates concrete mix design calibration, generating maturity curves, and cylinder break testing
  • Eliminates variations due to mix design and environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity.
  • Provides lower costs with improve data accuracy and accelerates project completions
